The list of mandatory examination of the patient before the general controlled hyperthermia includes:
- General blood count, platelets, clotting time and duration of bleeding.
- Biochemical blood test (ALT, AST – according to indications).
- Blood electrolytes.
- General urine analysis.
- Blood test for RW, HIV infection, hepatitis B and C.
- ECG.
- Chest radiography (if indicated, MR tomography of the brain, radiography of the spine and other examinations determined after consulting a doctor).
- Blood type, Rh factor.
- Specific studies characteristic of the presented pathology (viral load, cancer markers, immunological profiles).
- Height, body weight.
Tests 1-4 and 9 with a period of more than one month will be repeated in the hospital. Tests or examinations that have aroused particular clinical interest may be repeated.
The final decision to conduct general controlled hyperthermia is made by the doctor after reviewing the submitted documentation and a personal examination of the patient.
